We're past the 53 man cut-down, both our rosters are for the most part set in stone. It's time to talk real football.
Ravens lost a few players on defense this offseason, but acquired Henry. LJ has been talking big about how much weight he's lost this offseason to be faster than ever, I suppose. Don't know much about their draft, but the Ravens traditionally draft well so I'll assume the same this year.
We're likely down Hollywood Brown, but no other major injuries.
They’re currently 0-2 with the next three games being @DAL, BUF, @CIN.
I don’t think they’ll lose all three, but I think they’d be lucky to wind up 2-3 after that stretch. 0-5 isn’t out of the realm of possibility either. [Reply]
Raven fans are melting down pretty bad. They're talking about how the whole thing needs to be rebuilt. Seems like just yesterday the media and Baltimore fans were telling us the #1 seed Ravens had the best team of the last 40 years and the Chiefs had zero chance to beat them in the AFC title game. But now it's a rebuilding situation less than a year later? Ouch. [Reply]

Yeah, they skated a bit on the schedule, road that defense, and had great turnover luck against the 49ers.
This year, defense loses some personnel and Mike McDonald and all of a sudden is not as dominant, and Lamar is still Lamar (but with a worse offensive line and an old Derrick Henry, who doesn't complement what Jackson does at all).
But who could have foreseen bringing in a guy who HAS to play in traditional under-center sets to play with a QB who HAS to play in the pistol or shotgun ... going not great? [Reply]

I was listening to a podcast that said he’s not a top 3 kicker. I was in agreement.
Then they listed the kickers that were for sure better than Tucker right now.
Koo (WTF dude had some horrible kicks not that long ago)
Dicker
fairbairn (do dome kickers even count?)
I am getting the feeling the Bills are about to put up "historic DVOA" numbers this year.
They have that offense humming (Brady has been a major, major upgrade for them, unfortunately). And the defensive scheme is still a nasty one against mediocre and bad QBs.
They're going to beat the crap out of the Dolphins 2x and Pats 2x. Probably the Jets as well.
And it's not going to matter if/when they face the Chiefs in the playoffs. KC will put that defense in the blender like it always does. [Reply]
