My first thought after listening was “This is why I can’t see a trade for a corner. What min. Salary player is going to learn all that mid-season?”

Richard Sherman is kind of likable on his podcast but still has to make it about himself. He is a boorish know it all loudmouth on Thursday night football just like he was as a player.

These are probably two of the smarter recent players, both being Stanford guys.

Justin Reid is an extremely smart guy. I've heard him talk a few times and have come back super impressed. I guess his older bro Eric realized how smart he was and talked him into playing at Stanford instead of going to LSU.

He is extremely smart and well spoken. He reminds me of Larry Fitzgerald.

That said, I think most Chief D players are intelligent or at least have a great ability to store information. With how many different plays there are, I just can't see it being any other way.

Which, again, is why we aren't just trading for any old CB out there. It's going to be a chore to learn the scheme AND you've got to be pretty bright to run it/succeed in it.

Yeah, same gripe with his itnerview with McDuffie.

I get it, you were a great player and it's easy to connect and bond over past career stories... but for a listener it gets repetitive. You don't HAVE to make it about you. There's more than enough to talk about with guys who won the previous two Super Bowls.
