ESPN Sources: Cowboys and All-Pro WR CeeDee Lamb reached agreement today on a record four-year, $136 million deal that now makes him the second highest-paid non-QB in NFL history. The deal includes a $38 million signing bonus, the largest ever given to a wide receiver.

The offense scored 26, 27, 17 and 25 points. All four of those teams fielded top 10 defenses in the regular season.

The defense came up big but so did the offense. We looked like a complete team in the playoffs.

Except that smart teams are starting to treat the WR position like the RB position. KC, GB, Baltimore most notably. Draft young cost controlled players often and sprinkle in one year prove it deals. There are so many talented WRs coming out in the draft every single year.

Like was said above, draft one in the first 3 round most years and don't fall for the trap of paying $30M+ AAV WRs.

The Chiefs have spent a 1st and a 2 2nds on the spot the last 3 years of drafts though. It's smart because yes, it's cheaper, but that's still a pretty heavy investment.

So you think they could trade Chase and get two rings the following two years? If not then Mahomes is 1-1 and Joe isn't as good.

They didn't mow up and down the field against Balt and SF because....well no shit they've got good defenses.

I think we'd all like the 2018 or 2022 Chiefs offense to be back.....I hope it will....but it's funny that people are accusing Pat of winning because of the defense when he's a year removed from having the best statistical year a QB has ever had offensively and winning a SB after trading a top 2 WR in the league away.

We’re doing a gradual rebuild of the position. You know like how we spent all those high draft picks on defense in the years before that? Now it’s the offense/WRs turn.

Once Rice and Worthy get going, we can maintain with mid/late round guys. Who knows, we might even get lucky on a couple of them.

I think with like protection, Burrow is just as capable as Mahomes of doing it. That doesn't automatically mean he's as good or better. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

The Bengals have spent and drafted and coached guys up front. I'd guess it's more the guy holding on to the ball at this point than the front but that's just me.
