Seriously? A mentally ill who can’t control what they say would piss you off more than a young kid who knows better but choose to ignore everything common sense? [Reply]

I say the n-word in public, I'd probably get my ass kicked despite being 65 years old. And people would stand by, let it happen and maybe applaud. And I'd deserve it.
Think about that sentence, again in context with what happened to Jason. [Reply]

Yeah it’s an unusual situation because on the hand the white straight person shouldn’t be targeted using words you know aren’t right. If it’s offensive to gay people it’s offensive to straight people you are not buddies with too. I do agree that because they’re both straight and white too many excuses are being made for this punk kid [Reply]

My city has the issue too. I get being annoyed by it but we both know these people don’t know better. They have a mental illness where they don’t know the difference between right or wrong.
A college student, I don’t care how drunk or immature they are, knows better. And we as a society can actually fix some of this by creating consequences for this shit (I am well aware that cancel culture has blurred these lines by chicken littling some of this) [Reply]

I'm tired of meth head drifters flocking to my town and turning my parks and fishing spots into biohazard dumps where they smoke meth and fentanyl because the city leaves them alone.
But that's a topic for another thread and I'll leave it at that. [Reply]

Real men don't have to resolve their feelings with violence.

Not sure if there’s more to the story between Jason and the beanpole with the broken phone, but if the clip contains all of the context for this encounter, Jason was a bit easily triggered. Sure, calling your brother a slur and insulting his girlfriend is probably fighting words in small towns across America, but it wasn’t even a logical insult and there’s a brand to consider. Kind of thin skinned on Jason’s part. He had to hear way worse on the football field.
He should’ve just turned around and laughed at the kid for that insult. It didn’t even make sense. But I think he was already triggered from the F word associated to Travis. [Reply]

Pretty sure the “brand” benefited from this. Although I doubt Jason had that in mind when he put the beta boy in his place. Jason is an alpha male, which is a huge part of his immense success. This is a universal dynamic, not just something that happens in “small towns.” [Reply]
