Agreed. Though he was effective during the game, on his big pass play, the defender did fall down. That's not going to happen every game. [Reply]

Nick is smoking crack.
Dead money doesn’t go to the team trading for the player. That’s $ that’s already been paid to the player that hasn’t been accounted for on their cap due to structure, bonuses, restructures, etc.
KC would only be on the hook for amounts not yet paid in the contract, and those are extremely affordable.

Usually, I’d agree with you…but we have a real chance at history here and I think that deserves a “big swing” in Veaches words. [Reply]

I agree. He has chemistry with M. Brown when he comes back from injury, which is more than can be said for Cooper.
"His base salary is $8.27 million, which equates to game checks of around $459,500 weekly. If Kansas City was to deal for Hopkins now, with 13 weeks remaining in the regular season, the Chiefs would be looking at a bill of just under $6 million."
We would need to clear about $2m in cap cap space, Pat would do that in a heartbeat.

Our 3rd + S. Moore = Hopkins?
If Hopkins is the target I could see Veach waiting till the deadline instead of doing a restructure. Cooper can be had now, cap wise. [Reply]
