Nzoner's Game Room>Do We Really Want To Go Undefeated?
Easy 6 03:27 PM Yesterday
Can't wait to get crushed for this opinion, but it just feels like asking for an undefeated season while chasing a threepeat is bad juju... its asking for too much IMO

I'd much rather we lose a game or two just to keep everyone frosty, to remind them that yes they can be beaten if they're not playing their best ball... look no further than the Patriots undefeated season to see what can happen when a team sniffs too many of its own farts

I don't want to meet Detroit in the Super Bowl with our heads in the clouds

Maybe I'm just being superstitious, maybe not... what say you?

Hey it's obviously best case scenario

But the three-peat itself is plenty of ammo in this salary cap era

Right. A 3-peat would make this one of the greatest teams in NFL history, undefeated or not.

And at the end of the day, Mahomes can win seven or more rings, Brady stans are always gonna say he's better. Just like we are always gonna side with Mahomes.

It's fun, it's incredible we got the guy in a KC uniform, but yeah... I guess it's cool that it will be a conversation long after Mahomes hangs it up.

I would be completely, over-the-moon happy if we were to get a threepeat. Any way we do it is great. That said, I feel it's obvious that we would be even happier if the Chiefs pulled off the first undefeated season since the 72 Dolphins.

If we are 16-0 and sit starters, it is my belief that it would be a blow to morale, and actually hurt our team as we enter the playoffs. Mahomes has already voiced in the past wanting 20-0. You know guys like Kelce and Jones do too. If they are 16-0 they have earned the right to try and you can't take that away from them.

I can't remember the kids name on their team, but he was a rookie out of FSU, and he had a career day. Fans were so shitty to us as we left. Like they just won the SB
I was at that game, Bengals fans are very similar to Raider fans.

If the Chiefs finish 17-0 and win their first playoff game they would break the NFL record for most consecutive games won in a row over the Colts who have it currently at 23 games.

I was asked at the beginning of the season, do I think they will 3 peat. I said, Just want them to make the playoffs first.

Just wanted to win the opening game first. Just wanted to beat the niners. Just wanted to beat the hated Raiders as that is always nice. Point is, not thinking about it until it is something to think about. Just enjoying each game and focusing on the game at hand as I am sure this awesome collection of foot ballers are doing.

Super Bowl victory over undefeated all day long.

My concern is if we have wrapped up #1 seed in AFC but are still undefeated, starters may all want to keep playing. Like pulling a starter on a no-hitter.

When you think about it the Chiefs had ultra motivation to win all of their SB’s. 2019 was losing to Brady at home to end their season, 2022 was the Bengals embarrassment and 2023 was everybody doubting them and the Raiders embarrassment.

Kinda want a team to push our shit in one time to light a fire under our ass. Kinda like Seabiscuit. Get that extra ammo
2019 was also to end the 50 year drought

I totally agree. It’s not even just bad Juju sometimes teams decide to buy into their own BS and losing breaks that

We can go undefeated another year

This is the correct way to look at it. But man I just can’t. For me it’s Threepeat or bust.

I wish I could be like you.

Although last year I said back to back or bust and was handsomely rewarded for rooting for my team like we usually are. But sometimes I worry my expectations for the game own up some inevitables in terms of getting disappointed

Only one team out of 32 can finish a season happy
