Depends what their plans are for the position. If they’re set on Kingsley next year no matter what, then Smith would be your best bet, but I hope to God that’s not their plan.
However, I almost think they’d be foolish not to look into this long term. We need a goddamn LT, and this guy has at least 3-4 more good years in him if he’s healthy. We’re losing Trey next year so the interior is already going to be weaker. This would fill a massive short-term and long-term need without having to wait until the offseason to do it.
I feel pretty confident that if they can afford him, they'll do it. If for no other reason, Morris always seems to get hurt even though he typically comes back. There's no way they trust anybody other than him at this point. [Reply]
