OMFG - after staying up until 4:00 a.m. farting around on the computer, I was rudely awakened by the burglar alarm about ten minutes ago. Grabbed the .38 and charged downstairs to find the door to the garage slightly ajar. Cocked the .38, pulled the door open. Nothing there.
My wife hadn't checked to make sure the door was closed when she activated the alarm, and one of the cats had pawed the door open. It's happened before. :-)
Unfortunately, what hadn't happened before is me, tired and freaked out, having my thumb slip off the hammer of the .38 when I was trying to uncock it. Just shot a f#cking hole through the wall in the hallway which exited through the pantry door onto the kitchen floor. :-)
So I've had four hours of sleep, my ears are still ringing from the alarm and the gunshot, I just shot up my own f#cking house, and no way am I going to be able to go back to sleep now.
Hamas is right, 12 gauge is best for home defense. Saw it off, or use a modified choke, and you don't even have to aim really. plus the chik\chik sound of the pump loading the round is enough to turn any meth-head as white as his stuff. [Reply]

I know a guy who did this exact same thing and wasn't as lucky as you were. His stray bullet went through his kitchen wall and into the living room, then struck his wife in the head and killed her. Count your blessings, and thank your lucky stars no one was hurt. [Reply]

FUNNY STORY, about 10 years ago my buddy got into it with a couple opf tweakers, so we're throwing down and one's dad shows up(another tweaker about 50 yrs old) he's in the back of a truck with a SWORD a fucking sword:-) and this asshole proceeds to jump out of the truck fall flat on his face and shove that sword right through his hand, i start laughing my ass off until he stands up looks at me and pulls that fucking thing out of his hand like his hand was a sheath, all the while smiling. so the laughter turns to serious REAL quick, i holler for someone to give me a bat and this guy throws me a curtain rod, WOW ends up this stupid fuck throws the sword at me, i duck and proceed to beat the living shit out of this guy. he was pretty tough, old man strength and dope combined, crazy shit and totally true [Reply]
