The mighty Bills from Buffalo will take the AFC this year.
For two decades I watched people say the Patriots window was closed, that their time was dwindling, that it was all over… seemingly every time those predictions happened, the Patriots went and won another Super Bowl.
A lot of doom talk simply because we lost to the Bengals in the playoffs. Let us not forget that the Bills watched their brother DIE on the field just a few weeks prior. Their heart was simply not in it. If it had been, the Bills would have captured the AFC last year.
The Bills have won 2 of their last 3 in Arrowhead and they’re ready to make it 3 of the last 4.

With the early bye week for KC, it really is pretty important that they get that 1 seed, IMO.
I'm not terribly eager to do this season what they did last season. The injuries and attrition are piling up. The miles on the odometer for some of our key players (Jones and Kelce, maybe even Mahomes) are starting to show.

If Det. has a 2 to 3 game lead for the #1 NFC seed by the time they play it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't let Buffalo win that game if they would rather see Buffalo in the SB and thus "help" them get the #1 seed.
Detroit should have pretty smooth sailing to the #1 NFC even with a Buffalo loss.
Detroit is the only remain game on Buffalo's schedule where the Bills will NOT be favored.
KC will probably NOT be favored in the last 2 games (at Pittsburgh, at Denver).
IF the remainder of both the Chiefs' and Bills' season according to "chalk" Buffalo gets the #1 AFC seed. [Reply]

Yeah - I feel like we're gonna need Detroit to win that game.
I don't expect us to win out from here and I don't really see Buffalo losing a game with the dregs they have on their schedule from here forward. [Reply]
They’re a clear threat for the 1 seed and always were but the Bills will lose another game, maybe even two. They almost lost to the Dolphins a few weeks back. They don’t play all of their games at the intensity/level they did in this past week against the Chiefs. [Reply]
They definitely have one loss in the next three. If we finish 15-2 and we will be the one seed. If we finish 14-3 it will require them to lose as a favorite at least once, which is still very possible. [Reply]

Not sure it matters. The AFC East is a joke division (6 easy wins), plus they got 3 easy wins on the schedule against the crappy AFC South division. They also caught a break to have their bye week right after playing the Chiefs, while the Niners don’t have a bye week. Niners have a bad track record in East Coast games under Shanahan’s leadership, but now they also have a bye week disadvantage compared to Buffalo.
Basically the only losable game for Buffalo is Detroit. Guess we will see if they mess up anywhere else, but I am expecting them to finish 14-3 or 15-2. [Reply]

I mean, it's the NFL. Losable games happen all the time.
I think the Rams could give them some trouble (West Coast trip sandwiched between a huge home game off the bye against the defending NFC champs and a road game against the current NFC favorite that is going to be getting hype as a SB preview over the next month).
The 49ers are against the wall, too. And that offense is usually pretty effective against zone defenses, and does an excellent job using RB and FB as receiving weapons, which has been a weakness for the Bills this year.
I don't think there's much chance the Bills go 0-3 in that stretch, but I could see 2 losses. That would give the Chiefs a lot of breathing room. [Reply]
