I expect the Chiefs to be fully charged for this game. I'll be disappointed if it's anything less. They can basically clinch the top seed. They're an underdog. They're playing a good team whose QB always balls out against us. It's on the road. Lots of national hype. It's a big game for the Chiefs. As big a regular season game as you can have. [Reply]
Holy shit. We're gonna get all the calls AND get away with holding

OFFENSIVE HOLDING is the Chiefs No.1 penalty issue. The Land Clark crew are calling BELOW AVG offensive holding penalties in 2024
Clark's crew calls a disproportionate percentage of their OFFENSIVE penalties on 1st/2nd downs. 1st down offensive penalties have been an issue for Buffalo in 2024. They will need maximum focus with this crew in charge.
DEFENSIVE PASS INTERFERENCE would be the primary defensive infraction enforced by this crew, although it's not excessive vs #NFL averages
They do place ABOVE AVG emphasis on UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS & these marquee games tend to see an uptick in discipline related penalties. The

ranked No.1 for UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS in 2023 & are currently co-ranked No.1 in 2024
HOME teams are 28-42-2 ATS (40%) in Land Clark's career
#KansasCity are 4-0 w' Clark, including 3-0 SU & ATS on the road

Besides that, exactly... Nix spent the game taking what the defense gave him and really nothing more. :-)
Pretty much. He’s gonna be in that Jared Goff/Brock Purdy realm if they get better weapons.
Decent QB that is relying on coaching scheme and weapons to get them far. But that won’t work as well in the AFC with the best QB’s all being over here compared to the NFC QB landscape. [Reply]
KC played amazing on the road in the post-season last year...it kind of dimmed the allure of a HFA factor. This game isnt as exciting as is should be (to me) as I'm still waiting for the Chiefs to return to full strength with Brown, Pacheco and Omenihu.
I dont think the Bills will run the table with a pretty tough schedule...I also expect KC to offensively ratchet it up in the final month. It feels like they have been "Rope-a-doping" the league and only showing what they have to. The Denver gameplan was about as uninspired as they could get away with.
Florio says "they play with their food"...and I think there is some truth to that. Sucks as the games seem more clinical/methodical. I'm sure Vegas loves them for the close games though..
Having JuJu, Kelce, Worthy and Hopkins on the field at the same time is the most intriguing part of this weekend. That's a lot of expert route running in the intermediate...should spring Worthy. [Reply]

Yeah I don't have numbers to back this up, but it certainly feels like the Chiefs have played better on the road over the last several years. But of course we'd like the bye. [Reply]
There’s a lot of analysts saying we are talking like we are walking into a buzzsaw this Sunday. I don’t think it’s gonna be a blowout by any means either way.
It’s gonna come down to the final 2 mins as usual [Reply]

Josh Allen and McDermott treat this game like it's their super bowl every year and play it with that intensity. We always seem to play it as if it's another game, because that's what it is. So I just don't get all that excited by it, since the team as a whole seems pretty non-plussed about it.
It's for the damn one seed. Do you even football man? [Reply]
