I haven't read the book. I'm not even sure I could tell you what the trailer suggests the movie is about. I'm such a douche fan boy of Liev Schrieber that I had to post it here.

I won't be watching the movie as I am very much not a "modern audience" but the book was good. Not as good as Hemingway's other works (namely, To Have and Have Not, Old Man and the Sea, and For Whom the Bell Tolls) but it was still good.
